“It’s not just a haircut, its tradition.” This phrase perfectly describes what SCC wants its students to aspire for in their journey to becoming a barber.  The profession of barbering goes back 6,000 years, making it one of the oldest professions in the world.  Over the years, it has evolved and is now one of the hottest careers with a high ceiling for earning potential.  Our focus is to teach the skills that will make our students the most sought after in the business.  This includes being trained in different haircutting techniques, the art of shaving, skin care, hair coloring, and business management.  We also teach our students the professional aspect of being a barber and how to maintain high customer relations.  SCC believes that this balanced approach is the formula for success.

Estheticians provide skin treatments, hair removal and other processes that help men and women maintain their personal appearance and boost self-esteem “Beauty is only skin-deep.” It’s a familiar phrase that means what’s on the outside doesn’t always reflect what’s on the inside. But if we’re strictly talking about what’s on the outside – well, skin does have a lot to do with outer beauty. And a skin care specialist has a lot to do with helping clients attain that outer beauty. Since skin care specialists stand face-to-face with their clients, they should enjoy interacting with people. Many times, skin care specialists find great fulfillment in helping people look their best, The future looks bright for skin care specialists. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment growth of about 13 percent from 2016 to 2026, which is faster than the average for all occupations.
